BBC School Report

Students from this school will be making the news for real on 19 March 2015 as they take part in BBC News School Report. We aim to publish the news by 1600 GMT on the News Day, so please save this page as a favourite and return to it later. In the meantime, take a look at the reports we produced last year.

Last Years BBC School Report (2014)

On 27th March 2014, 23 Year 8 students participated in The BBC School Report . Prior to the event, students were prepared for the day with a visit from Simon Clark (BBC Sports Reporter) and the City of Culture team, whom the students interviewed for BBC Radio Humberside. Natalie Swales and Alex Williamson also had the opportunity to report on the Siemens investment at the Docks and their interview was incorporated in the News Report. Natalie and Alex then spent the day, on 27th March, working at BBC Humberside with Andy Comfort on his radio show. They helmed the National BBC School Report radio show and were outstanding. The rest of the students spent the day in the Mac Suite, creating their own Sirius Academy News Report. Students enjoyed the technical aspects of editing and filming, as well as interviewing and reporting. The results of their hard work can be seen in the video on this page.
