Learners are educated in Scarborough at the Intervention Weekend

[05 Jan 2011]

On Friday 5th November, a group of students visited The Spa Hotel in Scarborough for a weekend of Maths and English Intervention. Friday saw enthusiastic, hard working students produce excellent levels of work for both Maths and English. The Maths and English work involved a carousel process of students doing a number of topics to support their needs for the early entry exam in November. On the evening the students were taken to the theatre to watch “The Price of Everything” The public gave excellent feedback to the learners about their mature attitude and behaviour whilst on the visit The Saturday morning session saw much of the same hard work and dedication from the students to develop their Maths and English knowledge and skills. The atmosphere and working ethos from the students was excellent. After a tough working session the students walked to the sea front for a well-deserved lunch of fish and chips before returning to Hull. The feeling from all was the weekend had been productive and good preparation for the early entry 2010.
