7 Girls Rugby - Hull Schools Champions

The Year 7 Girls were crowned the Hull Schools Champions last night after an outstanding team display that has seen them improve so much since they first started playing rugby at the beginning of the year.

Sirius Academy West 2 Archbishop Sentamu 2
The toughest game was up first for Sirius and the game was fairly evenly matched, with captain Jasmine Fielder opening the scoring before Archbishop equalised, Jasmine Fielder scored her second with a superb scoot over the tryline. Archbishop once again equalised to make it 2 - 2, Sirius thought the had won the game but a knock on over the tryline kept it at a draw.

Sirius Academy West 5 Sirius Academy North 1
In the Sirius derby it was West that came out on top with a convincing performance, Enola Aitcheson had got into her stride and scored two quick tries before Alisha Gowan scored on her debut, Enola Aitcheson made it a hat-trick before Jasmine Fielder went over. Sirius North got a consolation try late on to make the final score 5 - 1.

Sirius Academy West 5 Malet Lambert 1
Sirius were improving with each game and this was outstanding team display, with tries from Jasmine Fielder going over first. Malet replied immediately, but after that Sirius really put on the style with tries from Maddie O Connor, Elisha Gowan and two from Enola Aitcheson.

Sirius Academy West 8 St Marys 0
Sirius knew that it could go down to tries scored for who would win the tournament, as Archbishop Sentamu were also winning all their games. This gave Sirius the lift they needed in attack and defence as they ran in 8 tries without reply. Try scorers: Amber Leake, Enola Aitcheson (2), Jasmine Fielder, Zeina Hassoum (2), Maci Campbell, Elisha Gowan.

Sirius Academy West 9 Boulevard 0
Once again, a real team effort saw Sirius put in another outstanding performance by beating Boulevard 9 tries to 0 . Try scorers: Jasmine Fielder(3), Maci Campbell (2), Zeina Hassoum (2), Enola Aitcheson (2)
