An Amazing Week for Female Sport at Sirius Academy

This week has been a huge week for female Sport at Sirius academy.

· On Monday the U16 girls won the 7-a-side Hull Schools cup.
· On Tuesday the U13 girls won their semi-final of the Hull Schools football cup 15-2, and now play next Thursday in the Final.
· On Wednesday the Y8 Netball girls competed in the Humberside games, after finishing as the number one team in hull.
· On Wednesday evening the U13 football girls competed in the Humberside Football Final and narrowly missed out to a victory over South Hunsley, finishing 2nd in the county
· Today, as you will have seen from Gemma, the Y7 and 8 indoor athletic teams competed in the Humber Games and were both successful in securing top spot for Sirius Academy in both age categories.
And finally tomorrow the Y8 Girls Rugby team compete in the Rugby Union Yorkshire finals tournament, which if they win will see them take centre stage at Twickenham.
A fantastic achievement again for female sport, with around 40 girls competing at a highly competitive level and representing the Academy on the county stage.
A huge thank you to all staff in the Academy for their support, and to those staff involved with the teams throughout the days and evenings this week.
