Bronze CREST Award

[06 Apr 2011]

A group of our year 9 students have just gained their Bronze CREST awards.

CREST stands for Creativity in Science and Technology and is designed to engage students in science , maths and technology.

The awards involves the students facing a series of challenges which as they come successively harder lead to Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates.

The group spent a day involved in an investigation of alternative energy sources, particularly relevant with all the talk of wind farms being built off our coast.

The day was led by Mike Cargill from HETA and supported with resources from SMart futures
