Double Yorkshire Cup success for Sirius!

In a double header played yesterday, Sirius Academy came away with two wins at Year 10 and 11 age groups. Both teams defeated opponents from St Wilfreds Catholic High (Wakefield), in two tough games played in great spirit!

The Year 10 team, despite missing several regular players due to injury and illness, produced some excellent tries with big performances from Harry Tyson-Wilson, George Scottow, Kieren Jones, Liam Harris and Jamie Warcup. Try-scorers for the team were Scottow (3 tries), Warcup (2 tries), Tyson-Wilson and Liam Sigurddson with Harris kicking 3 goals to give Sirius a 34-4 win.

The Year 11 team, again missing players, eased through in the year that they hope to win the Carnegie Champion Schools cup for the third year running, whilst hunting the 1 trophy to elude them, the National Cup. Try-scorers for the team were Macauley Hallett (3 tries), Jansin Turgut, Macauley Duke, Liam Bilton and Josh Wood with 2 Liam Robinson goals giving the boys a 32-4 victory.
