Enterprise Event

Over 20 Year 10 students attended Craven Park yesterday (Thursday) for an all day Enterprise event to mark Global Entrepreneurship Week. This was attended by many of our local secondary schools and I am happy to say that our Year 10's did not let us down, delivering a 2nd place out of 18 teams competing to win.

The Sirius West team were awarded a £200 prize for achieving 2nd place. Tom Watts and Katie-May Barker deserve a special mention as they led the presentation on stage in front of a packed function room and did an amazing job managing their team and making sure that everyone contributed something to the final pitch.

The £200 prize money will be used to further enhance the enterprising opportunities our young people experience here at Sirius Academy West.

A big thank-you to Claire Smalley and the rest of the staff who helped to support and facilitate this very worthwhile event.
