Hull College Annual Awards Ceremony

Daniel Pallister a Year 11 Sirius Academy student received the prestigious Michael Barugh Award for Good Progress in the 14-16 Curriculum at the Annual Awards Ceremony at the Royal Hotel in Hull.

Daniel has studied Motor Vehicle at the Cannon Street Centre for the last 2 Years. Daniel’s Lecturers Jonathon and Lee recommended him for the award as recognition for his enthusiasm and commitment throughout the course.

Daniel was awarded his Trophy and Certificate by David Rowley, Education Director, BLOODHOUND SSC.

BLOODHOUND SSC is a project to develop a car that can exceed 1000 mph and promote innovation and technology in British Industries.

At the end of the evening Daniel was personally congratulated by Dr Elaine McMahon CBE, Chief Executive and Principal of Hull College.

In September Daniel is joining the 6th Form at Sirius Academy to follow a course in Construction. This will provide Daniel with choices in the future to either work in partnership with his elder brother in Construction or resume his studies in Motor Vehicle at Cannon Street.
