Making Television project at The University of Hull

[15 Jul 2013]

19 Year 9 students spent the week on campus at The University of Hull, working in the broadcasting studio to achieve an understanding of how a studio works and the roles and responsibilities involved in making television.

Students worked both independently and collaboratively in order to create and produce their own successful television show on DVD. Ashley Shipley, who won an award for the ‘most improved’ pupil, said, “It’s been amazing! I’ve loved it- especially learning how to operate the gallery.” Matthew Taylor also won an award for ‘most outstanding’ student at the end of the week. All students found the experience very engaging and enjoyable, in addition to learning a great deal about the creative process and how the industry works.
