Principal Education Dragons Den Charity Competition
Sirius Academy took part in Principal Education’s Dragon’s Den Charity Competition October 2014 in support of Aspire Academy and their link school in Sierra Leone. Sirius Academy was contacted by Aspire Academy to help their plight in raising donations for the current ebola crisis that is sweeping the area.
Several submissions across all Year groups were entered, out of all of the Secondary school entries, Sirius Academy had made it through as one of the FIVE finalists! The winning submission was a Video by Oliver Edson, Lizzie Harrison, Nathan Harrington and Kieren Bartlett in Year 11. The finalists will receive £100 towards the charity that they are supporting, if they win the finals they will receive a further £500 to put towards the charity, it was amazing to see how many Sirius students wanted to get involved with the project.
