Saved from Alien invasion…

[30 Jan 2012]

Prospective students and their families saved Sirius Academy from alien invasion this weekend at our Showcase Open Day, which was out of this world…

Young people and their families explored our state-of-the-art new building and took part in a whole host of fun activities – dusting for alien fingerprints, conducting alien autopsies, alien art and uncovering clues from our mystery guests. They also saw our meerkats in space, 3D cinema and raced the aliens in our sports hall.

Cathy Taylor, Principal, said:

“The alien-themed open day was a great way to attract young people and their parents/carers to the school to have a look around. We had lots of fun activities to showcase our fantastic facilities, including our state-of-the-art science labs, sports facilities, dance studio, 3D cinema and Mac suite.

“At Sirius, learning is an adventurous journey that seeks to challenge, inspire and engage every learner. We pride ourselves in being a safe, happy community with a strong ethos which enables every student to shine.

“We still have limited places available, including in our Sixth Form, so anyone interested should get in touch.”
