Sirius Student Recognised in National Award

[07 Jan 2014]

Each year, science@sirius take part in “I’m a Scientist, Get Me Out of Here!” I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here is an online event where school students get to meet and interact with scientists. It’s an X Factor-style competition between scientists, where the students are the judges. Students challenge the scientists over intense, fast-paced online live chats. They then ask the scientists all the questions they want to, and vote for their favourite scientist to win a prize of £500 to communicate their work with the public.

The organisers asked the scientists and moderators which student had done the best in each zone, and Charlotte Jude from Sirius Academy was nominated as student winner for their zone. She received a certificate and a £20 WH Smith voucher; for “being an engaged, thoughtful, fun and overall great student.”

Dr Taylor presented the award to Charlotte on behalf of the organisers.
