Y7 Bikeability Stars Passed Bikeability

[16 Feb 2017]

The annual delivery of the Level 3 Bikeability program took place this week involving our year 7 students.
Bikeability is government-recognised, practical and professional cycle training programme. It’s about gaining practical skills and understanding how to cycle on today’s roads. Bikeability gives students the skills and confidence for all kinds of cycling. Sirius Academy West is one of only two host sites in Hull to deliver the highest Bikeability award, Level 3.
A student who successfully passes their Level 3 Bikeability can;

prepare for a journey
understand advanced road positioning
pas queuing traffic
perceive and deal with hazards
understand driver blind spots
react to hazardous road surfaces
