The opening match was a tough away journey across the city to Holderness Academy. The boys played some excellent stuff and ran out with a rather incredible 13-3 victory.

Goalscorers:
Clifford Appiah 3 (although he thought he’d only scored 2!)
Theo Mainprize 3
Alfie Maskell 3
Jason-Lee Litten 1
Filip Szkoda 1
Brooklyn Birrs 1

The game was played in a superb spirit with the Holderness team maintaining their fight and effort which was evident in their 2 second half goals.

The second game was our 1st league outing v Malet Lambert. Heavy rainfall had cast some doubt over the game. However, after some nifty grounds keeping (if I do say so myself) the pitch was declared fit to play.

The first half was a tight affair with the score level at the break after Appiah notched his 4th in 2 games and Malet finishing well to draw things level.

After some tactical shuffling Alfie Maskell was able to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and the team grew around him. The boys played very well and were able to run out 6-1 winners in the end.

Goalscorers:
Cifford Appiah 1
Alfie Maskell 4
Charlie Birdsall 1

We now have a week off to get on the training pitch and work on a few things in preparation for the final run in before half term with home games against: Kelvin (23rd) and St Marys (24th).

Please congratulate the boys on their outstanding start to their footballing journey with Sirius Academy West.
