Year 10 boys win Hull Schools Softball competition

The Year 10 softball team won the Hull Schools Championships after cruising to a 10-2 victory over a game Malet Lambert team in the Final at Eastmount Centre. The boys worked well and thoroughly enjoyed the match with the competition giving some students who have not represented the Academy in a sporting context for some time, an opportunity to play.

The was never behind on the score-board after the 1st innings, with some string hits from Connah Oliver, James Ducker and Jordan Wardell. In defence, Robbie Hird was safe as back-stop taking several catches, with Tom Greenham at third base again running several of the opposition out.

Please congratulate the following boys on their attitude, behaviour and success:

Jon Mills, Tom Greenham, Connah Oliver, Robbie Hird, Matty Burgess, Jordan Wardell, Harrison Shearsmith, James Ducker, Haydn Mortimer, Kieran Bartlett.
