Year 8 rounders tournament
The year 8 girls took part in the Hull Schools Rounders tournament last night. They played four matches against different schools.
Match 1: Sirius 4.5 Winifred Holtby 2.5
Match 2: Sirius 1 St Marys 5
Match 3: Sirius 2.5 Malet 2
Match 4: Sirius 2 Kelvin 6
Overall the girls won 2/4 matches – showing outstanding performances in both batting and fielding. Some excellent rounders from Ebony Hepworth, Natasha Frankel and Chloe Borman saw the team fighting till the last match. Unfortunately, three early ‘outs’ put the girls under pressure and only secured the team 1 rounder.
The girls came third place in their group and showed excellent team spirit! Please congratulate them:
