Sirius Academy West. in accordance with the School Standards and Framework Act 1998, and in consultation with the Executive Principal and the Board of Governors, publish a specific admission limit. This limit is the maximum number of students the academy considers can be admitted within each Year Group. The limit has to take into account the size of the building, number of classrooms, safety and well-being of students, current facilities and available resources. The limit is designed to ensure that the academy is able to provide and deliver a purposeful and productive education for all.

Where the number of applications for admission is greater than the published admissions number (PAN), applications will be considered against the criteria set out below:

*Children that have an Education and Health Care Plan where Sirius Academy West is the named school on the child's statement.

*Children in public care.

*Children with siblings currently enrolled at Sirius Academy West at the time of admission.

*Children of staff currently employed by Sirius Academy West.

*Children completing the requisite Sporting Aptitude tests.

*Proximity of the child's normal address to Sirius Academy West.
