Geography Quality Mark 2017
[22 Sep 2017]
During the academic year 2016-2017, the Geography department have been working hard towards achieving this national recognition through the Geographical Association. This recognition is of the excellent work that we have done in and out of the classroom. Through starting clubs, running interventions, carrying out trips for all ages and creating engaging lessons. Some examples include Mr Boatin’s Geography club raising money and resources to be sent to a school in Senegal, 2 successful year 10 field visits and Zoolab. We have been one of very few schools nationally to with this prestigious award in a year that we have also achieved our best GCSE grades and intake of students choosing Geography at GCSE.
