Hull Active Schools Trampolining Championships
After only practicing for two weeks, we took a selection of trampolinist to compete in their first ever hull active schools trampolining championships.
The group gave up a Saturday lie in to be up bright and early to compete on Saturday morning.
The first competition Sirius were part of was the under 15 boys novice competition where Lyndon Burton (year 9) came 1st!
The second competition was under 13 girls elite where Chloe King (year 7) came 1st also with what I believe was the highest scoring routine!!
Onto a winning streak, the under 15 girls novice were next where Maddie Mcgrath, Macy Campbell, Lauren McClean and Leah Pearson competed as both a team and as individuals. The girls came 1st in the team competition with Maddie placing 4th overall, Macy placing 6th overall, Lauren placing 8th overall and Leah placing 9th overall out of 13 athletes.
Finally, our under 13 girls novice competition saw Jasmine Fielder, Sienna Longley and Grace Collier compete as both a team and individually. With only three people in their team, it meant each athletes’ score counted towards the total. In the team competition, the girls came 1st again!!!! Individually, Jazz came 2nd, Sienna came 7th and Grace came 9th out of 18 athletes.
If you see them around the academy, please congratulate them as they all did amazing!!!
