Hull Schools Badminton – KS3/4

The Academy was represented by four boys in the Hull Schools Badminton Competition – Alex Douglas;Oliver Anscombe; Nicholas Lavin and Connah Oliver.

Nicholas Lavin stole the show by winning both his singles games and defeating both contestants from Hymers and Kelvin Hall.

Nicholas displayed great enthusiasm and great levels of skill in defeating an excellent opponent from Hymers in a tense and pulsating game.

At Key Stage 4 – Sirius were the only contestants so the boys are through to the finals. Alex won one from two of his singles and doubles games.

Unfortunately, Nicholas did not have the level of support he required to progress further at KS3 but will represent and be part of the KS4 team at the finals.
