Wet! Wet! Wet! Four Of Our Students Brave The Weather! Humberside Cross-Country Championships Saturday 6th February.
Four Sirius Academy students represented the City Of Hull in the County Cross Country Champions staged at Beverley Longcroft on Saturday 6th February.
Lauren Mclean, Jess Taylor, Ellie Robertson and Daniel Chadwick braved the horrendous elements on a typical day for this particular event. Soaked ‘to the skin’ our four showed their true colours by just turning up and taking part to represent the city.
All four students ran their hearts out cheered on by parents and grandparents with Lauren Mclean 14th; Daniel Chadwick 15th ; Jess Taylor 39th and Ellie Robertson 40th – all highly respectable runs.
I have wrote about students turning out for such events before and I reiterate that it takes character and a willingness to better oneself environmentally, physically and mentally under extreme conditions. It takes a certain type of person to do this and achieve success for their academy, city and more importantly themselves!
