KS3 Basketball

[13 Nov 2012]

The KS3 Basketball team got off to a steady start in the first round of fixtures in the Hull Schools Basketball competition last night. Pitted against perennial contenders Kelvin Hall in the first match Sirius led 3-2 with only seconds to spare. A contentious award of free-throw saw Kelvin Hall to victory with the final shot of the game. Sirius battled back well in the next two games defeating St. Mary’s 12-0 and Kelvin Hall B 10-4, with Brad Elliot and Josh Lomax impressing in their debuts. The boys are now well placed to challenge again against Kingswood, Winifred Holtby and Trinity in a fortnight’s time. Please congratulate the boys on their effort and attitude.

KS3 Squad: Lukas Mikoliunas, Jak Langley, Stephen Pougher, Kai Thorpe, Brad Elliot and Josh Lomax.

Basketball Training will start tonight in the Sports Hall for all boys/girls that are interested in playing.
