Primary School Summer Photograph Competition
In June and July nearly 600 pupils in Y5 from our local Primary Schools visited the academy for the full day. Those that attended were given the opportunity to discover different countries of the world through exciting and engaging activities developed by subjects, such as, Science, History, PE, Drama and Technology.
We were really interested in how our prospective students would spend their summer and asked those that attended to enter our #siriuslysummer photograph competition. Pupils were tasked with the mission of sending a photograph of themselves doing something during the six week break for a chance to win holiday vouchers worth £400.
We are delighted to announce that the winner is Oliver Heard of Christopher Pickering with his Harry Potter inspired photograph! Oliver’s ability to fly just edged out admirable attempts from Callum Doel (Christopher Pickering), Halle Bowler (Eastfield) and Sean Martin (Newington). All runner-ups will receive shopping vouchers as a consolation prize.
