[20 Apr 2012]

Sirius Academy was visited by some very special guests on Tuesday. Four cade lambs came to the academy to take part in our science lessons, teaching the students about food production, selective breeding and development.

The four lambs; Rocky, Winnie, Alice and Scout, were all the third lamb of a set of triplets, fed by hand because their mothers would not have enough milk for them to thrive. They will continue to be fed by hand for the next three months until they are weaned along with their brothers and sisters on the farm.

Some lucky students had the opportunity to feed the lambs. They thought this was great and enjoyed the opportunity. They made comparison to feeding their younger brothers and sisters at home!
