Sirius Dance Performance 1/11/13
On Friday 1st November, 19 GCSE dance students were involved in the Youth Arts Festival, specifically the Youth Dance Platform at Hull Truck Theatre. There were 10 schools/ establishments involved. Sirius performed in conjunction with Ganton school as part of the 6 week project working with Phoenix Dance Theatre. The project was completed under tight timescales and students showed depth of character in order to respond to direction and instruction throughout in order to produce a finished product.
The Sirius girls showed compassion, understanding and maturity during the project with Ganton. They worked effectively with them in developing choreography and contact sequences with the Ganton students. Their final performance on stage in front of a packed theatre required confidence and conviction of performance and they proved themselves to be one of the best groups on the day.
