Sirius to Senegal – Geography Club Project

[27 Mar 2017]

This term in Geography club we have been contacting a school in Senegal as part of our Africa topic. It didn’t take long for the students to notice the inadequate facilities available at the Prive d excellence school, especially when they opted to hand-write our Academy name for a photograph because they didn’t have a printer at the school.

At some point this week we will be coming round to tutor groups to inform students how they too can get involved in our project.

What are we planning to do?

Each break time between Tuesday and Friday this week, Geography club members will be setting up a stall where you can donate unused pens, notepads and old textbooks with outdated specifications which will later be sent to Prive d excellence school in Senegal .

Bake sale

In order to cover the cost of shipping we will be hosting an Easter themed bake sale in the heart space this Friday!
