Sirius Year 7 Football Team Build On Initial Success And Defeat St.Mary’s.

Sirius Year 7 Football Team followed up their first league win with another great win (2-1) against rivals St. Mary’s.
A gritty performance as the boys went down to a goal towards the end of the first half in a game which was not really dominated by either side.
Immediately after going one down the boys responded positively and were rewarded with a penalty which unfortunately was squandered!
However, Mason Elliott put right his miss with a well taken goal -late on in the first half.
A great deal of character was shown in the second half with the boys actively responding and taking heed of their half-time talk! A determined performance all-round with players working harder to close players down and engage in stronger challenges – and more organised in covering and working as a team.
This was particularly illustrated by Keane Pyzer; Charlie Matchett; and Liam Wilkinson. Whilst Max Sadler and Jack Entwhistle stopped everything that was sent their way in goal. Mason Elliott worked tirelessly along with Klaidas Kaukasas; Harry Shooter; Daniel Bunce; Jamie Whiting; Ethan Kirkby; and Reece Whittles.
Reece Shipley worked their defenders up front and it was he who after some near misses snatched the winner after some tenacious work from Reece Whittles!
A great win and one which gave me a great deal of satisfaction and showed that I have the same amount of desire and passion to win a game as many years ago!
A trait I will hope to instill in the boys!
A marvellous performance -please credit all the boys involved.
Thanks to Kean Naylor (PE SCITT) who supported me with the team.
