It started poorly with 4 boys in the squad not turning up. Captain and star centre back Bibby had to go in goal. Against a St Marys team with several Hull City and League 1 Sunday players Sirius tried hard but couldn’t get possession of the ball. Leon Dalee had an excellent game at centre back but the midfield struggled to track runners and St Marys were 3 up by half time. It would have been 7 if not for wonder saves from Bibby. Two quick St Marys goals didn’t demoralise the Sirius boys as late squad replacement Gould took advantage of a goalkeeper error to register for Sirius. This energised the boys and Blackham delivered a great ball from the left for Shooter to finish. 5-2. The comeback was on. 3 late St Marys goals ruined that.
