Star-crossed lovers shine at Sirius Academy
The Sirus-ly Shakespeare Club are proud to present their ‘Twilight’ inspired production of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet which will be performed at Sirius Academy on Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th and Friday 18th May at 7.30pm.
The lively ensemble cast of Sirius students bring a fresh approach to the enduring tale of love and loss by infusing the traditional text with modern pop music and dance routines. Shakespeare’s ‘star-crossed lovers’ are transported to a dark world of vampires and vampire slayers where wooden stakes replace swords and creatures of the night stalk their prey through the foggy streets of Verona. Stunning costumes and imaginative staging combine to create a highly visual and atmospheric production.
