Table-Tennis – U16 Regional Finals Result
The Sirius Academy U16 Table-Tennis team travelled to Teeside today to participate in the ETTA Regional Table-Tennis Finals having already secured victories in both the Hull Schools and Humberside Schools competitions. In an extremely competitive and highly skilled tournament the boys went out to eventual champions Dowdales (Cumbria) in a strong field with other teams from Durham, Scarborough and Northumberland.
James Garrod again starred throughout the competition and was the only player in the U16 tournament to win all of his matches. Able support was provided from Daniel Taylor, Ari Sharif and Mitchell Levi-Lewis, who will undoubtedly benefit from the experience and opportunity to play against tougher opponents.
The boys’ effort, conduct and attitude was outstanding throughout a long and tiring day (6am-6pm!). Please congratulate them for their endeavours.
