Tee ball festival Success
Sirius Academy hosted a Tee Ball Competition for the Specials schools in Hull on Friday 4th May. It was a very successful event and one which is very popular with the students.
There were 3 teams at the event made up of mixed impairments aged between 10 and 19 years old.
Each team had a unique team name: The Superstars, The Saints and The Fantastics.
(All of whom lived up to their titles)
There were some stand out performances from both Ganton and Fredrick Holmes but I was pleased to see 100% effort from all students and everyone including the teachers had lots of fun!
It was a close contest but The Superstars came through as Champions after winning both their matches!
Year 9 Sirius Academy Leaders came to support the event and worked brilliantly with the teams throughout the whole afternoon. It was the first time they had been introduced to the game of Tee ball but they were quick to learn the rules and all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Well done to all the teams and a big thank you to the Year 9 leaders, they were a credit to the Academy.
