The KC Showcase

[25 Jun 2014]

On Wednesday 25th June the Year 9 GCSE Drama group performed a specially commissioned play for a group of Senior Managers and Directors from KC. Inspired by last year’s production of Mobile Phone Show, our partners KC asked Sirius to create a play to help them better understand the needs of their future customers, in particular how young people use communication technology. The students devised the play based on their own ideas and experiences exploring themes such as mobile phone addiction, cyber-bullying and imagining what it would be like if social media was real life. Following the performance the group took part in a Q&A with the visitors so that the KC managers could obtain some real-time research about how young people relate to their business and discuss some of the themes and issues presented in the play.

The audience were extremely impressed with the play in particular the creativity and confidence of the students involved as Kay Stevenson, Communications Manager at KC tweeted, “The show was absolutely brilliant! We loved it!”
