The Prince’s Trust – Mosaic Mentoring Programme

A selected group of Year 8 students have started The Prince’s Trust Mosaic Mentoring Programme in the academy today. The programme consists of eight sessions and involves groups of students working with volunteer mentors from Humberside Police.
Students are set relevant and achievable goals and are mentored in small groups working together on practical learning projects, self awareness exercises, workplace visits, inspirational speeches and competitions.
Key themes of the programme are: communication, working with others, setting and achieving goals, confidence and reliability.
The programme uses positive role models and intends to raise young people’s aspirations and life chances.
