#ThisWeekatSAW – 30th June 2023

[30 Jun 2023]

Message from the Head of School:

The Academy has been host to a number of Year 5 pupils this week as part of our on going transition programme. It’s been great to see students enjoying the facilities and familiarising themselves with their potential secondary school.

Our Year 7 rugby team impressed this week with their comfortable win in the Yorkshire Plate final. A big well done to all involved. Please check our socials for up to date pictures and information on all events and trips including sporting fixtures and results.

Thank you to those parents and carers continuing to support the academy with attendance, we need to ensure students are attending every day when able to, to limit the amount of learning lost through absence. Correspondence has been shared with you all regarding the teacher strikes next week – plans are in place to ensure continuation of learning takes place.

Please continue to ensure your child is bring their water bottle to the academy every day, temperatures inside the building remain warm and will no doubt increase as we move into July. A decision on blazers will be made each morning.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Gemma Ransom (Head of School)
