Transition – Y6 Sports Aptitude Testing
On Saturday the academy hosted our annual Sporting Aptitude Test for a large number of pupils from our local Primary Schools. Pupils competed a series of different activities and challenges throughout the morning in an attempt to secure enough points to gain sports aptitude status.
The academy must now rank all the pupils that expressed an interest in enrolling at Sirius Academy West in September 2019. Our admissions criteria allows us to admit up to 10% of the proposed intake via sporting aptitude. All pupils in Year 6 will discover their destination for Year 7 on Friday 1st March 2019.
Thank you to all the pupils, and their parents and carers, that attended this morning. A fantastic number in attendance and we were delighted with both the level of performance and the attitude and effort demonstrated by the pupils. Good luck to everyone!
