U13 Girls football tournament
The U13 Girls entered two teams into the 7-a-side Hull Schools Football tournament at St Marys last night.
Results from the Sirius “A” team are as follows:-
St Marys “C” 0 Sirius Academy West “A” 2 (Chantelle Dunn, Isabelle Taylor)
Winifred Holtby 0 Sirius Academy West “A” 3 (Georgia Coggin, Isabelle Taylor, Chantelle Dunn)
Newland School 0 Sirius Academy West “A” 5 (Georgia Coggin 2, Isabelle Taylor 3)
St Marys “A” 0 Sirius West “A” 0
SEMI FINAL: This saw Sirius West “A” go through as group leaders and would play against Sirius Academy North in a 1st v 2nd play off. Sirius West came out worthy winners with a 2 – 0 victory, goals from Georgia Coggin and Isabelle Taylor to take the Sirius West side through to the final against St Marys “A”, who they had drawn with in the group stages.
FINAL: Sirius West “A” had gone into the final against St Marys “A” without conceding a goal, however, St Marys really showed their quality in front of goal and managed to win this game comfortobaly with a 4 – 0 victory, which would see Sirius West “A” finish as runners up, a fantastic achievement from the 7 players:- Lucy Sainty, Phoebe Armstrong, Kadie Laws, Chantelle Dunn, Isabelle Taylor, Rachel Robinson and Georgia Coggin.

This saw Sirius Academy West “B” finish 4th in the group and have a playoff with St Marys “B” which ended in a 0 – 0 draw.
