U13 Girls through to 4th round of English Schools!

[23 Oct 2013]

The U13 girls football team tonight took on a school from York (Fulford) in the 3rd round of the ESFA cup.
After their comfortable 18-0 win in their last match the girls were confident of the performance they could deliver. Within minutes of KO Ellie Smirk managed to secure her first of 3 goals of the night, taking Sirius 1-0 up.

The girls played well and had to dig deep at times to maintain a strong defence and keep their players out of our goal. Mia Duke and Molly Bigby were exceptional in the centre back position, tracking every ball back and beating their attackers every time.

At the other end of the pitch, and in addition to Ellie, Danielle, Ellie Cone and Mia Duke also put goals in the back of their net, beating what was a very good keeper from Fulford, bringing the final scoreline to 6-1!
Whilst Kayleigh Waller was denied her name on the scoresheet, hitting the upright, cross bar and the keeper making some excellent saves!

Another fantastic win for the girls who now progress through to the 4th round of the ESFA!

Thanks to Jess Walker for her support.
