Valerie Wood Author Visit

Yesterday afternoon the Academy was visited by local best-selling author Valerie Wood. She was in primarily to give a selection of students from years 11 and 13 English an insight into the working methods of an author.

The level of student participation was really surprising with everyone incredibly attentive especially during the question and answer section.

What was most impressive was the parent/carer engagement, some even tweeted their enjoyment.

Thanks to all the members of staff who supported and the students involved, a real credit to the Academy.
