World Book Day – Primary School Visit

Once again the academy played host to Year 5 children from our local Primary Schools to celebrate World Book day 2020!
The children from Ainthorpe Primary School and Rokeby Primary School enjoyed a day of English, Drama and Art to help them write their own story, develop their characters and design the front cover for their book.
World Book Day is renowned for the inspiring costumes that children delight in wearing to celebrate the day, and this year was no exception. In true World Book Day style, we had an array of costumes from Harry Potter to Where’s Wally, from Little Red Riding Hood to Alice in Wonderland, and everything else in between. All the pupils who attended were simply fabulous!
Thank you to Mrs Morris, Mrs Hartley, Mrs Ainsworth, and Miss Pritchard for all their hard work in delivering a day which was a truly “perfect in every way”.
