Y11 Football Match vs Trinity

[07 Oct 2011]

The Year 11 football team tonight earned a fantastic win against Trinity House in horrible conditions to make it 2 victories on the bounce.

Sirius started the match very brightly and quickly raced into a 3-0 lead courtesy of Jordan Abdul, Macauley Duke and then Markus Craig – the first of which finished off an excellent piece of football.

The rest of the first half was fairly end to end with Sirius probably just edging it and their dominance was confirmed with John Boyeson scoring on the stroke of half time from the edge of the area.

Sirius started the second half in much the same way and it wasn’t too long before Markus Craig got his second of the game with another well worked play. Liam Robinson then nodded in a spectacular header, from roughly 4 yards, to put Sirius 6-0 up with the match coming to a close, there was time however for Markus to score a well deserved Hat-Trick, firing in a superb free kick from over 20 yards despite a strong wind.

Please congratulate the lads as every single one of them played very very well and many thanks to Martin Smith for refereeing the match and probably taking credit for the tactics employed by the team…

Team: Richard Moy, Stephen Batty, Kurtis Adjei, Jason Norfolk, Liam Krebs, Macauley Duke, Liam Robinson, Jack Lister, Markus Craig, John Boyeson, Jordan Abdul, Liam Gordon, Jansin Turgut, Zardasht Taha and Dean Baron
