Sirius 16 Trinity 14 (after extra time)
Sirius narrowly edged out Trinity after 42 minutes of energetic and skilful handball last night. Sirius, captained by goalkeeper Zak Green started strongly and were 2 nil up very quickly but Trinity fought back to draw level at the end of the first 10 minute quarter.
Sirius took control in the 2nd quarter with spectacular goals by Harrison and Johansson but Trinity’s persistance allowed them to go into half time 7-5 down.
Trinity’s centre caused big problems in the 3rd quarter, regularly driving from defence to attack to score and the 3rd quarter ended 9 all.
Sirius had the game in the bag with 4 minutes to go at 12-9 but Trinity rallied and the game ended 14 all at Full time.
Two one minute periods of extra time were fought out to find a winner and Sirius prevailed with goals from Harrison and Johansson.
