Year 10 Rugby team move through in National Cup!

The Sirius Academy Year 10 Rugby team moved safely into the next round of the RFL Champion Schools National Cup competition with a resounding 66-6 win over the North East champions, Eaglescliffe school (Newcastle). The match played in Leigh, saw some excellent Rugby from the team, who are still hurting from their Yorkshire Cup Semi-Final defeat two weeks ago. The team now move into the last 16 of the National Cup, a competition they came within seconds of reaching the Final in last year, and are determined to go one better in this year.
The match was all but over at half-time with Sirius 36-6 up, with tries coming from Josh Jarvis x2, Brett Dorley, Kai Thorpe, George Tyson-Wilson and Josh Atkinson with Harry Whittles adding to an eventual 11 goal haul with a faultless kicking display.
The 2nd half saw tries from Jarvis who completed his hat-trick, Brad Elliott, Thorpe, Dorley and Atkinson who grabbed their 2nd tries each and Jacob Smith.
Special thanks to Rachel Gay and Cosi Basile for their support and 6th Former Harry Brigham for his assistance.
