[13 Nov 2013]
Year 13 Physics students are attempting the British Physics Olympiad (BPhO) run by the University of Oxford. The BPhO provides a series of question paper designed to stretch and challenge talented young physicists. The competitions attract entries from over 10,000 students each year and are supported by a number of sponsors including The University of Oxford and The Institute of Physics.
In July, BPhO 2013 finalists represented the UK in the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Denmark where they achieved 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. This year’s international competition takes place in Kazakhstan and for a chance to compete students must enter BPhO Round 1.
