Year 5 – Technology Day at Sirius Academy West
Nearly 100 students from our local Primary School had an afternoon of fun and excitement this week as we hosted our first ever technology event. Pupils from Christopher Pickering, Paisley and Rokeby explored simple circuits with our engineering team creating their own LED torch, then turned into budding chefs with our hospitality and catering team creating their own pizzas which they took home for tea! Pupils and teachers alike were very busy learning new skills and felt very grown up working in our engineering workshops and kitchens alongside some of our Year 10 leaders.
Special thanks to Mrs Vickers, Miss Hoult, Miss Lund, and Mr Elliott, and their team of ambassadors, for all their preparation and hard-work before and during the event.
Congratulations to all those that took part in today’s effort. Your attitude and conduct throughout the day was outstanding and a credit to your individual Primary Schools. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
