Year 7 Boys Rugby results
Sirius Year 7 boys competed in the Hull Schools Cup at Haworth Park and were 10 seconds away from been crowned West Hull Champions. The boys were excellent throughout in hot weather, and have much to be proud of this year after already winning the Hull Schools League and reaching the Carnegie Yorkshire Cup.
The boys played St Marys in their 1st match and were outstanding in winning 26-0 in a match that was only played over a 20 minute period. Tries coming from Jordan Wardell, Owen Jones-Barker (2), Chris Brown and Kenan Stephenson with Stephenson adding 3 goals.
Sirius then played Longcroft, with Brown and Stephenson claiming tries to lead 8-6 with 10 seconds remaining however Longcroft scored a try to leave Sirius with a 10-8 defeat.
The last game saw Sirius up against Wolferton with Brown and Kieran Bartlett claiming tries with Stephenson adding a goal to draw 10-10.
The result left Sirius 2nd as a result of the defeat to Longcroft, an achievement for the boys as over half of the boys do not play Rugby outside of the Academy.
