Year 7 remain unbeaten!
The year 7 Sirius boys kept their shape and discipline to win 6-0 against a resilient kelvin side. The lads pressed well early putting some excellent passing moves together. Kelvin were excellent defensively dealing with threats from Josh Hultum and Taylor Purdy. Captain Mikey Lewis ran on to an excellent through ball from Josh Richards and slotted home to give the boys a well-deserved 1-0 lead. Mikey putting in an excellent defensive as well as an attacking performance won a penalty in which Jack Scottow slotted home with the kelvin keeper unlucky to not deny him. Some excellent work down the right hand side with Owen Chaffer, Ali bostana linking up for taylor purdy to run on to with a great finish past the keeper. 3-0. Second half the lads kept grounded enough and started to display some excellent football ahead of their big national cup game this Thursday. This link up football lead to Samir Tarafder curling the ball around the goal keeper and 2 minutes later some great work down the right so his great cross turned in by a kelvin player which rounded off an excellent performance for him. With the core at 5-0 kelvin was throwing everything forward to try and get a goal with the defensive back four of Chaffer, Hacket, Hepworth and Gooch providing excellent displays. Joe Sedman caught on to a loose ball in which he did a great side step and chipping the keeper. Please praise the following boys on their excellent performance!…
