Year 8 Football team win big!
The Year 8 boys Football team added another big win to their already impressive record last night with an 8-1 win over a spirited Trinity House.
The boys at times could have added more goals, with several chances going begging, however despite the cold, windy conditions, they stuck to their task, and all 15 players performed well.
The match started brightly with Luke Salas, sending Kenan Stephenson on several long runs, and Joseph Wood working tirelessly in midfield. Salas was first on the scoresheet, before adding a second with a long range effort. Will Murphy headed Sirius further ahead with a clinical finish before Stephenson poked home a fourth for a 4-0 half-time lead.
Salas again started the 2nd half well with two goals, to take his tally to 8 goals in 3 matches. Olly Russell was next up before Trinity pulled one back, however Salas claimed his 5th and Sirius’ 8th to leave the final score at 8-1.
Thanks to Danny Rouse and Cosi Basile for support and Tom Mclaughlin for refereeing.
Please congratulate the following boys:
Kieran Bartlett, Jordan Wardell, Callum Magee, Rob Hird, Jordan Littlefair, Kenan Stephenson, Luke Salas, Jo Wood, Ewan Malton, Olly Russell, Will Murphy, Lukas Mikloluinas, Chris Brown, Tom Spurgeon, Luke Collingwood.
