Year 9/10 Rugby Union Rugby victory
The year 9/10 girls played in the rugby union Hull schools tournament last night, braving the freezing conditions to secure their pass through to the next stage of the competition.
The year 9 girls as the top team in the country last season had a lot to live up to and as a team the girls showed why they were crowned champions.
The girls played 3 games of fast rugby against Kingswood, Wolfreton and Howden and over the tournament did not concede a try against them. The girls showed they are ready to fight for their place in the next round of the competition where they will face schools across Hull and East Riding.
Kingswood 0- Sirius 6
Wolfreton 0- Sirius 2 (the game was called off due to Wolfreton injury after 3 minutes)
Sirius 5- Howden 0
The girls were a credit to the academy. And if you see any of them around school please congratulate them on their success.
