Year 8 Girls finish 3rd in Yorkshire RL Competition
The Year 8 Girls Rugby team were much improved in the Yorkshire Competition this year and finished 3rd in the group stages, just missing out on a spot in the semi final.
Year 7 Boys Rugby team win in the National Cup to send them through to the 1/4 Finals
Sirius Academy West Year 7 Boys have made it through to the 1/4 final of the National RL Schools Cup Final after an extremely close and tough home game against St John Fisher from Wigan.
Year 10 Girls make it through to the Yorkshire RL Competition
The Sirius Academy West Year 10 Girls made it through to the Yorkshire stages of the competition by beating Withernsea and Sirius Academy North last night in the Qualifying Tournament at St Marys Academy.

On Wednesday 5th February Julie Watson, Gemma Richal, Stephanie Johnson, Julie Dewbury, Nicola Lowson and Gillian Vase took a team of 35 students to the Hull Inclusive Indoor Athletics event at Costello Stadium.
On Tuesday 4th February the Y7 football team took the next steps into Sirius Academy West sporting history as they were the first team to reach the 1/4 final on a National Cup.
Today myself and Miss Warrener took the Year 7 girls football team to the English Schools 5aside regional football finals in Derby. Due to been crowned the Hull school champions before Christmas, we travelled down to the east midlands to represent Hull in the next round.
On Wednesday 29th January, Sirius Academy West hosted over 80 of the most talented sports performers from our local Primary Schools for the first of a series of talent camps.
